Creative Science Teacher

The Monte del Sol Charter School, a progressive 7 - 12 public school in Santa Fe, has an opening for a creative science teacher who wants to work in a collaborative, innovative and rigorous learning environment. In grades 7-9, science is taught in an integrated fashion, combining earth, life and physical science. In grade 10-12 students have a choice among Biology, Chemistry and Physics and a host of semester course such as Science of Art, Forensics, Wilderness Science, Kitchen Science, Planet Earth, designed by the science faculty. Job Description:
An experienced High School teacher/administrator is required to assist in the development of:
1)Adjunct Teacher Corps;
2)Alternative Licensure for experienced scientists/engineers;
3) integrated design curriculum based on PTC ProEngineer/Windchill
4) integrate programs with career pathways/clusters
5) continue building partnerships and open paths of communications with teachers, administrators and union members
6) assist in assessments for project-based learning.
