Creative Science Teacher

The Monte del Sol Charter School, a progressive 7 - 12 public school in Santa Fe, has an opening for a creative science teacher who wants to work in a collaborative, innovative and rigorous learning environment. In grades 7-9, science is taught in an integrated fashion, combining earth, life and physical science. In grade 10-12 students have a choice among Biology, Chemistry and Physics and a host of semester course such as Science of Art, Forensics, Wilderness Science, Kitchen Science, Planet Earth, designed by the science faculty. Educational Outreach

This may be an ideal situation for Albuquerque area teacher or administrator or outside ABQ area. Job would you to meet and work one or two Fridays a month. Contact Ellen Pryor for more info (see below).

Job Description:
An experienced High School teacher/administrator is required to assist in the development of:
1)Adjunct Teacher Corps;
2)Alternative Licensure for experienced scientists/engineers;
3) integrated design curriculum based on PTC ProEngineer/Windchill
4) integrate programs with career pathways/clusters
5) continue building partnerships and open paths of communications with teachers, administrators and union members
6) assist in assessments for project-based learning.
